StyptiQ started where every good product idea starts — out of frustration with what was already on the shelf.
In 2022, our founder — a third-generation barber in Brooklyn — got tired of the styptic pencils that crumbled in his drawer, the powders that came in cheap plastic shakers, and the imported tins with sketchy ingredient lists.
So he sourced pharmaceutical-grade potassium alum — the same naturally occurring mineral salt that's been used in shaving since the 1800s — packed it in a proper aluminum tin with a screw-top lid, and labeled it for what it is: fast relief for the inevitable.
Manufactured and packed in Lawrence, Kansas. Tested every batch. Built on a formula that's been trusted since the 1800s. And — every once in a while — by the home shaver who hates the panic of a Sunday-morning nick.
No fluff. No filler. One ingredient. The whole point.
Every tin is filled and packed in Lawrence, Kansas. We could save money offshore. We don't.
100% potassium alum. No talc, no fragrance, no fillers. If it's in the tin, you know what it is.
We price for the working barber first, then for the shelf. Everything we make passes a working shop test.
